I taught a while ago at Antioch, French and Italian. I had a marvelous supervisor at the time, Ivan, and kept in touch. Ivan is an extra-giving Professor, at every level, open doors policy has never been just a saying, his office, his home, his car, his bank account, Ivan has everything open to anyone, because it's Ivan-big-heart. Until locks were set on his office door.

Interestingly enough, it does not seem to bother too many. True, the school is closing in a year, not that no one saw it coming. A respectable tenured Professor, Havard, Yale, several PhDs, millions of miles and respectful former students across the planet, is being fired because an Antiochian feels threatened by.... Ivan.

Shame on you Antioch, shame on you...
