Horace Mann writes "I've included the following speech given by Charlton Heston at the Harvard Law School here for several reasons. The first is that he illustrates how the media and the press combine in attempts to sway public opinion. The second reason is that although I agree with about 98% of his opinions, I've discovered that I had to alter my personal opinion about the man because that opinion was originally molded by that same press and media as the only data that I was offered until now. Heston appears to be a left-winger, but in my opinion, he's still a warrior not afraid to think and act for himself. I have to add that I'm not necessarily a great proponent of Rush Limbaugh as he blindly backs only one political party no matter what they try to do.
